Education Standart, Researching theoretics

Some thoughts about the Researcher Model of Nationalism
(collected in icq with max)
//================================
//
// Education standard
//
//================================

//---------------------------------------------------------
// ResearchPoint and tech_cost_country factor
//---------------------------------------------------------
easy math example for education standard:

//get the schooled people stats
population = 60000; // country population
schooled_people = 49000; // pupils, students, profs.
PercentOfSchooledPeople = (schooled_people*100) / population;
result = 81.6667 %; //you will have to push that value

//get the general research points for the country
ResearchPoints = sqrt(schooled_people/100000); //sqrt = Wurzel aus

heres an example how it works:
tech_name = space_rifle;
tech_cost_base = 1000; //every tech got a base cost

//first, compute the techcost specified for the country
tech_cost_country = tech_cost_base * sqrt(country_population/10000)/10;

//second, compute the tech_cost_country in whatever time-units we need(week/months/3Months/year)
research_duration = (tech_cost_country/ResearchPoints)/30; //30 means 1 month

Thats it! :D

//------------------------------------------------------------------------
// The education condition increase factor
//------------------------------------------------------------------------

coming soon!

//-----------------------------------------------------------------------
// How to increase/decrease the education factor
//-----------------------------------------------------------------------

The education factor depends on the percent of national income you spend to the education and how many schools, universities and libraries you have build. Every country starts with historical education conditions and the national income spending is set to a value to hold the education factor to 0%. eg. prussia will begin with 12 % spending in education, means that is their 100 % of standart education. if you lower this value, the education factor pushback, otherwise you will push the factor. The factor increases by a percentage the "schooled_people".
The more schooled people you got, the more technology points you will earn to get a technology.

1. Compulsory schooling
This edict(which is in the edict list)would increase the education conditions of the population enormously(in longer time terms)! Here you get the first contact with the factor "education standard of the population" (pupils, students, scientists etc.). This edict will take much of the national budget, the education slider has to rise up, or the edict fails. The edict will need time to accomplish, means that you feel the effect of the edict even after some years. The education factor will raise up slightly, but then it will grow constant.
2. Education buildings. The amount of schools, universities, libraries (or whatever buildings we will integrate in nationalism for education) will increase the factor very very slightly, but highers also the provinces education factor.

//-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
// The limits and restrictions
//-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
- to establish a technology the province or towns education standart muss have the same or higher education standart of the technology, otherwise you cant integrate the tech in the province or town(only for buildings)

hmm, didn`t we want to have a "provincial" differentiation of "schooling" levels (-> colony problem)?

means theres for every province a schooling level

I would suggest to solve the problem by dividing it. First you should use the possible tech level of the country. For example Prussia gets Infrastructure Level 10. This will increase. But that does not mean all of your provinces have the same Infra-Level. Instead of having the same level all over your country there should bei a Infra-Level for every province. So if your province Kleve has only few schooled people it should be impossible to build up your infra-level there to the maximum your country can do. Infrastructure should be build like in HOI so you have to pay for that.
