political parties and the influence in the game

Beitrag von Wilhelm von Preußen »

do you got ideas how the political parties could influence the game? We plan to simulate a political life in each country depending on the actual economical situation e.g. you are leading your country hardlined with anti free people politics -> more democratic parties/groups etablish.
Also there would be 2 kinds of politics. 1. the political groups and 2. the actual government. So it would be possible to have a fascism government but an overhaul of other political groups(democrat/communist etc). What kind of influence will the political groups have on the government in this case?

Depends what eras i think. But one thing would be that Political groups, parties, that has no influence, tends to be anti-government, and if it goes to extreme. Rebellions, or riots.
If the political group/party is strong enough.

You must listen to your voters, but this is in more modern era.

for example:
you are a communist country, then you can send gifts for communist parties in other countries. The art of the gifts you can decide: weapons, terror-training, money etc.

Then you must follow the most influencing party, so you can't declare laws without the yes from the parliament, if the country is a democracy, or the dissent increases or you must use your army!

I think a Gouvernment can have problems, where depends on the greatest political opponent: for example if the Communists are very strong and we have a facist gouvernment the Communiyt can initiate strikes in the factories, for damage the industrie of a land.

And when there is a communist gouvernment and a strong democratic opposition they could to blockade the state by lower rate of developement...you understand what i mean?

Each group have other ways to fight against a gouvernment...

economic policies of a ruling party, would limit the laws/edicts that can be invoked in this area.

social policies of a ruling party, would limit the laws/edicts that can be invoked in this area.

military policies would limit the forces (pacifists vs. imperialists e.g.)
