Das Spielelement mit den Handelskompanien verstehen wir in Victoria nicht.
Das Spiel startet 1836 also zu einem Zeitpunkt als die große Zeit (17. bis ins 18. Jahrhundert) der Handelskompanien vorbei ist. Lediglich die Britische Ostindien-Kompanie existiert noch, hat aber bereits viele Privilegien verloren und spielt ab 1858 ebenfalls keine Rolle mehr.
