Wir schreiben hier unsere Gedanken und evtl. Unsere Rede auf für Sonntag. Da wir kaum Zeit haben werden das am Stück zu machen, wird der Text hier Stückchen Weise wachsen.
Let's begin with the facts.
We three lords are known to be fierce defenders of the people of Mantalos. We have build an extensive Network of watchtowers and our troops patrol all of southern Mantalos in search of the undead, brigands and wolves.
In fact, Lord Silkow is so renowned, that he was at times recognised as on of the ten fiercest defenders of the people and hunter of the evil.

The only reason he dropped out of the highest ranks is, because we managed to all but eradicate the undead menace in the south. No zombie attack has been recorded for weeks. And bandits are quickly dealt with.
My family in the meantime is known for their service to the gods. The first cathedral of Mantalos was build by them in Tharkad. Right now in Starkenburg another cathedral is being build. It will be the second finished cathedral of the continent.
Of course, all that could not be achieved alone. But rather my family has help from many lords and ladies who donate generously for the glory of the gods. Most of these donations were given in gold. One particularly large donation for the Starkenburg cathedral was given to the diocese by the men of Lord Dreischwein. 150 ounces of gold were taken by his men to the marketplace of Starkenburg. There, mayoress Pandora Pandorica took the money and ran off to her domain.
Soldiers of all of us took after her. My men blockaded the town, Lord Dreischweins men recovered the money and Lord Starkenburgs men tried to apprehend mayoress Pandorica. Then it came to a struggle, one of Starkenburgs men was killed, and as he was infected by the zombies, in one of his many fights against them, he returned as one. The zombie then proceeded to kill Pandora and Kevan Pandorica, before it could be brought down by Starkenburgs men.
From there on, many theories have surfaced what exactly happened that night. Some of the most outlandish even accused the men of Starkenburg of necromancy.

I have since first fought against the military of family Pandorcia, where no civilian was killed as I might add, and I have talked great length with them. I have come to respect them. In my eyes, that family is upstanding and honourable. But however much I respect them, that retelling of events is unbelievable. Which is no wonder. Victoria Pandorica has lived through some of the most horrible times that are possible to live through. Shock and panic have clouded her vision. Her mind is trying to cope with that unbelievable loss and trying to make sense of it however possible.
And although I will never truly know how she feels, I think I can at least in parts feel with her. I myself lost two of my beloved brothers to these zombies. I, too, tried to find reason behind this madness. But I had to come to the conclusion, that sometimes, life just does not make sense.
The exact turn of events will probably be forever lost to us. I have, however, recently been given the diary of Pandora Pandorica. Given to me by Hume Pandorica, in the hopes that no more bad comes of this already bad situation.

In that, contrary to his fears, mostly quite ordinary diary, we find however something revealing. In the weeks and days before the incident, it gets somewhat more confusing and paranoid. But on the day of the theft of the 150 ounces of gold, we find the following:
"I have got it back! It's mine ... mine mine! And if that nasty guard comes to take it again [...] I will make sure that this time I will use my knife! "
Although that is not conclusive proof of anything, it does hint at what really happened that day.
Pandora might have been sick, or suffering under delusions. She was, very much convinced, that she had recovered something that was rightfully hers. We can assume, that she was meaning the gold that was stolen. It also seems that she was confronted by guards in Starkenburg, but managed to evade them. Something that was confirmed by other guards. And lastly, it shows that she was willing to use deadly force to defend it.
I do therefore see it as highly likely, that the soldier that died that night, was indeed killed by Pandora Pandorica, after she stole the gold meant for the cathedral, while trying to apprehend her. It was bad luck for all involved, that this soldier was infected by zombies.
